Cody Cook is the author of several theological works, as well as prose posts and audio podcasts at the blog Cantus Firmus. I provided the cover illustration for his book Fight the Powers.
MusicWorks Publications provides self-study e-courses for music therapists, who can complete the courses for credit from the Certification Board of Music Therapists. In the spring of 2018, I had the opportunity to draw a series of cartoon illustrations for the cover pages of MusicWorks’ courses. To date, I’ve never worked so hard on making my cartoons fun! Here is some of my favorite artwork from the project.

I had the opportunity to provide illustrations for Hope Church‘s Multiply For Families book of family devotional materials, based on Hope Church’s nine Multiply priorities. Sometimes, as an artist, I get so caught up in striving to create better art that I forget to enjoy it. But this project was a reminder to have fun drawing up noodly-limbed cartoon kids and colorful iconic symbols.
